Tredu carried out a significant trip to Vietnam at the end of September, where representatives of the institution met new partners and potential new students. The trip included Education Managers Matti Heikkilä and Johanna Ojamäki, Nursing Teacher Minna Ylivakeri, and the Head of Education Export, Virpi Heinonen. The reliable RAB Education, with whom Tampere Adult Education Centre (TAKK) has previously collaborated, acted as a partner.
Events and aptitude tests in Ho Chi Minh City
The trip began in Ho Chi Minh City, where a large educational event was held. The event attracted nearly 200 participants interested in the Finnish education system and the opportunity to pursue a vocational degree in Finland. Tredu representatives met many motivated applicants, some of whom had already studied the Finnish language.
The trip continued to Hanoi, where the group visited the Finnish Embassy and discussed cooperation with Vietnamese partners with Ambassador Keijo Norvanto and his team. The embassy was very pleased with Tredu’s model, and collaboration will intensify with new student visa applications. The Coffee Talk event organized with Tredu’s partner brought together students interested in study opportunities.
Future prospects: long-term cooperation with RAB Education
RAB Education was an invaluable partner on the Vietnam trip, helping Tredu representatives meet the right students. Their responsible and ethical approach ensures mutually beneficial and sustainable cooperation. Tredu plans to continue close cooperation with RAB Education to promote new education export opportunities.
The trip was overall very successful, and Tredu received many new applicants for upcoming educational programs in Finland.
– Vietnamese students seem eager and ready to face the challenges and opportunities of Finnish education, and we look forward to welcoming them into our student community, says Virpi Heinonen.
In March 2025, four new education export groups will launch in Tredu.
The number of international paying students is increasing, and the next focus will be on the Philippines. The local partner Ideal Visa will visit Tredu on October 24-25th, and the students coming through them will be placed in Kangasala and Virrat.
